Castello di Serragiumenta

The Castello di Serragiumenta is an ancient noble farm house, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, relaxing hills and of course the vegetable farm. The style of the castle is ”Country Chic” and a destination for many wedding events. Most of all it is a destination for those who love to get in touch with the old fashioned Italian tradition and the organic cuisine. The family owners of the Castello di Serragiumenta are also farmers, they harvest all types of vegetables and raise their own farm animals for a genuine organic food experience respecting the traditions.
The Castello is equipped with all comforts and services such as Wi-Fi, Air conditioning, A swimming pool, etc., but what makes the castle so special is the atmosphere and the surrounding nature, simply a dive into the past.

Piccolo Grande Hotel

Situated in the historical center of Pizzo (Calabria), a lively town in an enchanting location on a cliff by the sea, you can find the small but nice and trendy luxury “Piccolo Grand Hotel”.
Individually designed rooms and suites, 3 of them in the nearby branch building with a breathtaking view from the cliff side onto the Mediterranean. Wi-Fi, large flat screen TVs, a safe and much more are at the guests’ disposal. A forward-looking hotel with exemplary energy-saving technology.

Unique Villages

The village of Altomonte is rich in culture and hilly landscapes, there are abundant olive groves and native vineyards producing the bambini(Baby) wines, already cited by Pliny the Elder in ancient times.
Along the streets and alleys of the village you will find typical local products and crafts such as wines, olive oil, very fine liqueurs, sweets and many gift shops selling products made of clay, wood, wicker etc. Remarkable are the unique wooden postcards, the old embroidery and most of all the Bread of Altomonte. Altomonte is a symbol of typical Calabrian cuisine and culture.

In the heart of the Pollino National Park, nested among the rocks to make itself invisible to the Saracen raids, Civita is a treasure chest that preserves the ancient traditions of the Albanian people. The valley in which it sits is surrounded by mountainous forests, colored by the blue reflections of the Ionian Sea, which can be admired on the horizon.
Civita is one of the best preserved settlements of inland Calabria, characterized by an urban structure made of narrow streets and open spaces that intersect each other like a maze.

Morano Calabro was the birthplace of mathematician Gaetano Scorza. During the X and XI centuries the town was chosen as a settlement by Muslim invaders and today the well preserved historical center is a must see attraction.
The red roofed homes reach the lower part of the town through a maze of alleys and on the higher side of the town sits Castle San Bernardino. The Castle was the residence of the lord in Morano.

The town sits on the edge of a steep cliff, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and the wonderful landscape of the Gulf of Plicastro.
You will visit Dino Island, whose sandstone circumference includes mystifying cave grottos, in which an indescribable color of blue, created by the sunlight rises through the sea water. Dino Island is a UNESCO World- Heritage site.

Tropea is a small town on the east coast of Calabria. It’s known for its cliff top historic center, beaches and prized red onion. Built on a former Byzantine cemetery, the 12th century cathedral has marble sarcophagi and a painting of the Madonna of Romania, the town’s protector. Tropea is full of small and affordable restaurants serving pizza and traditional meals, seafood and the town’s big specialty: sweet red onions. Other local treats to try include ice cream, “Latte di mandorla” (Almond milk) a refreshing and cooling drink.

Scilla is straight out of mythology; it is traditionally the home of the fearsome monster Scylla who along with Charybdis guarded the narrow Strait of Messina and menaced Odysseus / Ulysses as he sailed by. According to the town's tourist information leaflet "the origins of the castle date back to Ulysses". Even if you don't believe the mythological connections, the geography of Scylla's castle on a commanding outcrop guarding the entrance to this important shipping route must have made it an important site for more than a single millennia. Today Scilla is a pretty little town where visitors can relax on the beach, visit the castle or wander through the old fishing settlement.
